The European Tour remains in South Africa this week at the East London GC. The course is a 6691 par 72, unusually with only three par 5s. It is not a particularly demanding venue and at least -20 will be needed here. Interestingly, every edition thus far has featured a South African winner (Oosthuitzen, Schwartzel & Fichardt). Darren Fichardt is the defending champion and looks in decent fettle coming into this week.

We simply cannot ignore this early price for the fast improving South African. He had his second tour victory at the Nelson Mandela Championship and has played pretty solidly since. The current good form is on the back of much improved putting and we can see him going well this week. He’s managed a couple of top 25s in his four outings here and will be looking to go better this week.
Tjaart Van Der Walt	2pt each way 50-1	Stan James	Finishing position: T60 Back Tjaart Van Der Walt Again
We’re going for a second Van Der Walt this week. Tjaart is a good solid player who is always worthy of consideration on his home patch. East London form of 46-26-2-5 is eye catching. He’s not been in action much recently but his outing at the Joburg will have blown some of the cobwebs away. We think he’s a decent each way bet in a weak field.
Craig Lee	1pt each way 60-1	Stan James	Finishing position: MC Back Craig Lee Again
We’re rounding things off with another improving player in Craig Lee. He’s in the ‘winner about to happen’ category for us and has steadily progressed up the rankings over the last couple of years and is exactly the sort of player who will prosper in a weakly contested event like this. He had a nice T8 in 2012 at East London and will be looking for another good result this week.
